About the Event

Juno Award winning producer Lance Anderson (who brought The Last Waltz, Slowhand - The Music of Eric Clapton, Everyday People (Sly Stone) and Genius+Soul to theatres and festivals across Canada) has brought together another wonderful roster of BLUES ALL STARS. Singers Matt Weidinger(Matchedash Parish, Tone Wheels), and three wonderful singers including gospel sensation Quisha Wint, rising star Selena Evangeline and Kitchener’s great Cheryl Lescom recreate the magic of the award winning 1970’s tour, album and movie of the same name.

Backed by a nine piece band which includes Hammond organ (Matt Weidinger), and piano (Anderson) and guitarist Terry Blersh, (Danny Brooks) and on bass Collin Barrett (Blackburn). Like the original band they have TWO drummers Kevan McKenzie (James Taylor, ) Mike Carbone (Sons of Rhythm) and percussionist (Art Avalos, Manteca). The horns are (David Dunlop (Boss Brass), and Simon Wallis. (Lighthouse). The rhythm this group creates is a freight train which will pick you up and drop you down at the Fillmore East in NYC.
